Display Intent

This page is built for an ECR screen: position, motion, weather status, distance-from-land awareness, and connection health without chart clutter.

Distance-from-land v1 is a practical reference-card test. It uses onboard GSHHG coastline geometry plus Pacific island reference anchors to avoid missing small islands; it is not a MARPOL baseline calculation and does not determine legal discharge authorization. Future iterations may add configurable thresholds, more detailed weather parsing, and additional voyage data elements as needed, but the focus will remain on clear, concise information for engine room awareness.
